The University of Victoria and Global Affairs Canada are co-hosting the inaugural Victoria Forum on November 17-19 in Victoria, British Columbia. This interactive event is an opportunity for business leaders, visionary thinkers, policy-makers and civil society to engage in a major and necessary discussion around diversity and inclusion in the 21st century. The goal of the Victoria Forum is to address the opportunities and challenges facing us all, stimulate fresh thinking and inspire solutions for a better world, particularly appropriate as we mark Canada’s 150th anniversary.
The discussion at the Forum will be organized around 6 themes: Diversity and Economic Prosperity; Indigenous Inclusiveness; Geopolitics of Diversity; Climate Justice; Private Philanthropy, Civil Society and Inclusive Development; and Global Trade and the Economics of Diversity.
It is intended to deliver actionable ideas and will offer an open, accessible, inclusive space, including differing viewpoints, for evidence-based dialogue. It will build bridges between policy-makers, business leaders, civil society, academics, and youth as we contemplate the future of our society.
