It is our pleasure to start the 2019-2020 academic year at the CAAA with the announcement of our two new Editors in Chief.
Alan Webb of the University of Waterloo will take over from Mike Welker of Queen’s University as the EIC of Contemporary Accounting Research.
Leslie Berger of Wilfrid Laurier University will take over from Pascale Lapointe Antunes of Brock University as EIC of Accounting Perspectives.
Michael Favere-Marchesi, 2019-20 CAAA President, welcomes the addition of these two excellent scholars as editors-in-chief of the Association’s journals. He said, “I want to thank both Alan Webb, as incoming Editor-in-Chief of CAR, and Leslie Berger, as incoming Editor-in-Chief of Accounting Perspectives AP for agreeing to take their respective lead of the journals in 2020. I also thank the Editor-In-Chief Search Committees for their dedicated work and commitment to find excellent candidates who will take over from the eminent lead of both Mike Welker (CAR) and Pascale Lapointe-Antunes (AP). The association is fortunate to have scholars of such stature who will carry forward the mandate of both journals to promote and publish excellent research and education materials in the Canadian and international academy.”
Alan and Leslie will be working with Mike and Pascale over the course of the coming year. Alan’s term starts on May 1, 2020 and Leslie’s term starts on June 1, 2020.
